Report: On Tuesday 3rd of October the Straits U14/U16 netball team travelled to POWIIS to play their second game of netball for the year. Straits knew they wanted make a strong come back from last weeks game and they did not disappoint.

In the first game Straits were the first to score a goal. This put a spark into the students' feet as they continued to play hard and fast throughout the whole 20 minute match. There was some brilliant sportsmanship by the girls with cheers of support in times of error. Having concentrated on fast passes while moving during gameplay at training this week, they were quick to ensure it was a permanent skill for the entire game. Unfortunately, POWIIS had a last minute goal scored just before the game ended which resulted in a close loss.

The second game saw the SIS girls come up against a much stronger and more experienced POWIIS team. Although SIS girls were starting to tire from having played one whole game previously, they pushed through the exhaustion to score and showed determination with fire in their belly.

It was a proud moment to see the students improve their game strategy and technical skills. They look forward to playing POWIIS again soon along with Uplands in a mini tournament.

Great job Straits!
