What we learnt about this week
This week in English, we have begun planning a final ‘comic strip booklet’. We have been discussing and creating superheroes and villains to use in our stories. We have also been planning our storylines and beginning to design our comics.
In Maths, we explored nets of prisms and pyramids and the properties. We also revised triangles.
In Science this week, we have been looking at our spinning Earth, and have learned about the day and night phenomenon. We have also looked at the Earth’s rotation around the Sun and explained how this creates the seasons.
In PSHE, we have been discussing how we belong to different communities and what they mean to us.
What we plan for next week
In English lessons, we will be using the lessons to design and create our own comics.
In Maths, we will investigate rotational symmetry in regular polygons.
In Science, we will be learning about the different moon phases we have and carry out a class activity to ensure that we understand about how moon phases occur.
In PSHE, we will be continuing to look at the types of services and amenities that are needed to make a successful community.
In English – use the long weekend to complete part of the comic.
In Maths – making triangles poster.
In Science - complete pages 59, 60 and 62 in the Science workbook.
