What we learnt about this week
This week in Literacy students were challenged by learning a new topic which was the ‘at’ sound. Students in the Nursery were introduced to the word family ‘at’. Students learnt to phonologically sound and blend the letters to make a 3 letter word that ended with the ‘at’ sound. Students were shown a series of pictures that end with ‘at’ sound. They even did a puzzle game where they matched the correct picture to its correct sound.
In Maths, students learnt to differentiate groups into two different attributes; bigger numbers and smaller numbers for mathematical problem solving. Through our interactive white board, students were able to master the concept of bigger and smaller number with ease. They were also able to communicate the concept verbally.
In Science, the students were introduced to the 3R topic. They were also taught about what waste is and what items can be reused. They enhanced their fine motor skills by cutting pictures for the waste items that can and should be thrown in the garbage bin.
For Bahasa, they did a Hari Raya card to be given to the Muslim teachers. It was so nice to see the Early Years students colour and decorate the card. Therefore, we from Nursery team wishes all the Muslims a Happy Hari Raya Aidilfitri and wish you a great weekend with family.
No Homework for this week as it Hari Raya Holiday.
